Funding Campaign Launched for CMM Documentary
On Friday, June 30th, the Chicago Maritime Museum will host an educational Zoom event with Captain Bill Pinkney and Youth Empowered, a nonprofit organization based in Indiana, whose mission is to cultivate young minds through unconventional educational opportunities.
This event provides a unique opportunity to create a professional film as a key part of a powerful, new documentary highlighting CMM's expanding educational outreach and the planned exhibit: Sailing Commitment: Around the World with Bill Pinkney.
This short film has the potential for far reaching impact when it premieres at the CMMFestival 2023 fundraiser "All Hands-on Deck" and will continue to bring CMM's mission into sharp focus for grant proposals and sponsorship requests.
